How did President Joe Biden further the political bias in America?

    On September 1st, 2022, the President of the United States, Joe Biden, gave a speech in regard to the 'Battle for the Soul of the Nation.' President Joe Biden touched on many topics, the violence in America, American Politics, the Republican party, and Trump and his MAGA followers, just to name a few. Throughout his entire speech, there was an overarching theme of rebuilding America and protecting it. Protecting it from what you may ask, MAGA supporters is what you would guess Joe Biden would say after reading/listening to his speech. This speech left a bad taste in the media's mouth. President Joe Biden, despite talking about rebuilding America, talked about creating a larger divide within the United States. 
   
    "Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic," said President Joe Biden, though he was quick to follow up with that he does not believe this to be true for the entire Republican party. Joe Biden continues to talk about the well-known accusations that seem to follow the MAGA followers. Denying the election, moving backward, being a threat to democracy, etc. President Joe Biden goes on to finish the rest of his speech by emphasizing the violence in America and how he believes America is "not normal." How He believes that America needs to come together and not let the (implied) MAGA party overturn what America is built upon. 

"I will not stand by and watch -- I will not --- the will of the American people be overturned by the wild conspiracy theories and baseless, evidence-free claims of fraud."

One may ask themselves why did President Joe Biden go to Philidelphia to take stabs at Donald Trump and his supporters? Though the overall theme was protecting America, as stated before, it seemed like Joe Biden used this speech mainly to create a bigger divide between the MAGA supporters and America itself. It makes sense on paper, why would a patriotic American citizen want to be associated with the MAGA supporters after the statements Joe Biden said. 

    Despite President Joe Bidens true intentions or not, his speech has further implemented a bias in America between the two political parties. It also can be inferred that Joe Biden was blaming all of the wrong in America, such as violence and other crimes, on the MAGA supporters in the way he talked about the two topics in his speech. Though it is obvious that all of the crime in America can not be blamed on one party or person, it seems unfair the way Joe Biden related the two together. Painting an image that is not fully truthful. 

Many republicans spoke out about the speech, publicly stating their opinions on how they felt on the matter. "President Biden has chosen to divide, demean, and disparage his fellow Americans -- Why? Simply because they disagree with his policies," House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy said. Joe Biden's speech can be interpreted wrong, feeling like those who are not in agreeance with what he believes in to be an attack on America's democracy.

How Is Joe Biden Helping an American Prisoner in Russia

Now that the midterm elections are over, Joe Biden has decided to turn his attention to the ongoing Brittney Griner trial in Russia.    For those that do not know, Brittney Grinner was taken into custody and arrested in Russia back in February when attending a Russian Premier League for basketball. She was caught with cannabis oil which is seen as an illegal substance in Russia. Her trial started in July, going into the months of August when the Russian court decided that she would serve nine years in Russian Prison. Things only got more complicated due to the fact of Ukraine and Russian conflict that unfolded shortly after her arrest. What is Joe Biden Expecting of China Over the Next Two Years?

President Joe Biden was eager to meet with Xi Jinping for two reasons, he has only talked to the leader of China 5 times since he took  presidency back in 2020, and of those five times they met, it was over the phone or video call, but this was mainly due to COVID-19 restrictions.
